January 9, 2005

I'm still not used to writing 2005. Sheesh.

I'm sitting here, cramping and nauseaus. Bleah. Great. Just great. I hope it's just my regular cycle and not
something worse. I know that I've been having a sort of allergic reaction to something for the last two days,
but I haven't been able to figure out what. Not yet anyway. But because of the reaction, I'm very likely going
to have to increase my Prednisone dose for a week. I've been asthmatic in the evenings along with being itchy
and sniffly. Just what I need before the convention. It's all very wearing.

I had to take Buffy to the vet the day before yesterday. She'd been throwing up her food and having diahrrea.
I was hoping she'd be all right but she threw up her rice dinner that night so I made her drink water and then in
the morn she seemed to be better and I gave her a cracker but she threw that up within thirty minutes. So…off
to the vet.

He x-rayed her tummy area and there didn't seem to be any blockages and she did not have any fever so he
gave her an anti-nausea shot and an anti-diahrrea shot and told me to see how she fares on Pedialyte. If she
throws it up, bring her back on Monday. If she holds it down for a day, start her on a regimen of antibiotics
that he gave me.

She held down the Pedialyte and then some noodles from Campbells chicken noodle soup. This is good.

So five hours later, I gave her more. She still held it down. And she seems to be feeling better, too. Whew.

Sooo, I'll be starting her on the antibiotics today with her first meal--more chicken soup. *smile*

I finally finished "Autumn Equinox." So, later today or tomorrow I'll be going out to pick up frames for the
series and for a few other pictures. Mats, too.

I better go through my files and find some pics to print up to fill up the space I have at the con.
