Yeesh. Day three of migraine. Not fun. It was a little squiggle in my vision that turned to a HUGE blind spot
within a few minutes. I think I got to the meds in time but my had felt full of pressure. But no actual pain. That came later.
And today.
I hate taking the meds too much. They cause physical problems - keep me awake at night among other things.
*sigh*
But I'm told, if the pain is bad, don't be silly. Take the meds.
So I guess I'll take the meds. I'm sitting here typing and there is a distinct, unpleasant, and yes, painful
throbbing trying to take my attention away from everything.
It's coming close to succeeding. I'm finding myself holding my head a certain way because it's almost like the
throb is a bit less. But it's an illusion. I think it was more because the light in the room was less in my eyes.
Sheesh. *throb throb throb* (That usually has a much more pleasant connotation to it! *grin*)
More interesting stuff.
Ben made a Jakobs ladder today out of a neon sign transformer and coat hanger wire. Pretty cool! Apparently
the transformer was just going to be tossed so he salvaged it, tested it, and voila!
Yesterday, or the day before, Tanamin was bemoaning the fact that even though his on-line comic,
Unicornography, had been targeted by the Portal of Evil (11 months ago) he'd never gotten any comments about it. Now, from what he's said, the Portal of Evil is pretty much commented on by 12 year olds. No, not actual 12 year olds but those who are about that age internally. And those who just need a raging, impolite, rude, nasty outlet for their aggressions. Oookaaaay. So I avoid it.
But Kim, my roomate, heard Tan and went to the POE and commented on the comic. She sort of opened a can
of worms. First of all, at least nine comments by folks showed that they all thought she was Tan, trying to get attention to his comic. And they were nasty about it. So, Tanamin spent a long time answering all of them, in the most amusing fashion possible. By the time he was finished there were already 21 responses. Still nasty and insulting. He was chortling as that's exactly what he expected.
He has more tolerance than me. I read a few of the postings and was shocked. I now see why it's just
considered a place for stupid sites to get torn apart. Woah. Those folks definitely have nothing better to do. It's...rather...
It leaves me speechless.
This is one of those sites where folks say nasty things because they can get away with it. And they're not very
literate with their comments, either, though they'll immediately call you illiterate. Weird. I'd hate to actually meet any of those people. They're the kind of people that give the human race a very bad name.
*shudder*
I'm off to wash my brain. Ick. Ick. Ick.
