Alrighty. Thanksgiving has come and gone. Everyone had a grand time. One of Ed's closest friends, DK, came
up from Glendale. Been a while. We hope to see him at FC as well. Hopefully he can get time off from work
and share our room with us. He tried to do that last year but at the last minute he ended up having to work.
Poor guy.

T-day was good for everyone but me. I got some idiotic flu bug or something. I started the day out fine but
within hours I was feeling less than stellar. To the point that I ended up hurfing in a trashcan next to my bed.
That was special. Then I slept pretty much the whole day. Almost all the wnriew next day as well. Very
unusual for me. Then the following day I slept off and on. Again, unusual for me. But, by evening I was feeling
much better. No longer surviving on a few crackers and water. A bit of soup was palatable. *shakes head* All
that food and it all sounded repulsive. How sad is that?

Anyway, to try and help me get my mind off of my on-again, off-again tummy, Tanamin introduced me to
World of Warcraft. Now, I'm NOT a game player. Not that kind of game in any case. But I'll have to admit
that I rather enjoyed myself and it's likely I'll be playing fairly regularly. With Tanamin, anyway. *grin*

The night before T-day, I visited with DK and had fun conversation keeping him up far, far later than he's
used to. He works in sheet metal construction and is in bed by 9pm because he gets up around 4am. We kept
him up til around 2am I think, talking about all sorts of things. I love that kind of conversation. When it
wanders from old Jet Sky Rays to art and his collection of mermaids and centaurs, to Ed's sci-fi weaponry to
his own really neat 3d collage artwork. Cool cool cool.

They watched movies that he'd not yet seen because of his sleep schedule and stuff. Charlie and the
Chocolate Factory
was one that I know of. Then they watched Madagascar. That was silly beyond belief.
Almost too many gags. But I liked the zebra, of course. The animation was just fun to watch if you're into
appreciating todays different types of animation.

Tonight we watched The Polar Express. I enjoyed it. I found the animated faces just this side of creepy but the
story was fun and it's a very good Christmas movie. (I liked the reindeer best. *grin*)

I'm finally doing some artwork again. It's very silly artwork and I won't be able to show it to you until after the
holidays because it's all for holiday gifts so it's a surprise but I hope folks can be patient. I wish I were more
prolific. Practice. I really need practice. *sigh*

Well, back to work on said artwork! Hope everyone's long weekend is a nice one!
