BLOG December 31 2005 (Saturday - New Years Eve)

Seems like a lot of folks are doing a sort of recap of their year. Good and bad. Hmm. My years are pretty
consistent in being full of both so I'm kind of used to it.

The eye difficulties, penumonia that hospitalized me for five days, then recovery - reminding me that I am a
fragile creature. Foot surgery. Last minute thyroid scare. I gained weight due to my diabetes and the meds
associated with it so now I'm a round little zebbie. *sigh* A new years resolution is to lose a bit of that
weight...suuuuure. *grin*

I ended up letting go of a few friends who were proving that they were not - friends I mean. Very draining to
my soul. Anyone who truly knows me knows I hate confrontation unless backed into a corner. The proper
continuation of a relationship takes rational communication to continue. And most of all, the ability of both
sides to choose to listen. That's really important. When that goes by the wayside and *stays* gone due to the
perspectives, emotions, stubborness, whatever of either side and they choose to not listen, for any reason,
things have to change. It took a while to recover from that, but life goes on.

I've also picked up a few friendships along the way as well for which I'm grateful. I'm difficult to make friends
with as I'm really quite shy and very wary. *shrug* Renewed one a bit more, which pleases me a great deal -
waves to the Monocerous! And a few others. Friends are important to the human condition. Don't let anyone
tell you otherwise. Even if it's just having a few close personal friends, as a whole, we're a very social animal

And the neat and good things: Hobb's Grove rocks! *grin* Went to Texas to a big Halloween convention
called HauntCon with the boss and had a neat time of it. Had never been to Texas. I just missed being able to
see a good friend who lived something like two miles from the convention center, though! *sniff*

The launch of Dreamwalk Journal, the on-line comic. It becoming a "favorite" on the Belfry comics. Woo
hoo! I'm having a wonderful time working on it and writing the written half on my site. I need to keep up with it
better, though. *sheepish grin*

I did a writing marathon and exceeded my goals. Over 52,000 words. Did a complete rewrite/transcription of
my novel "Stallion," a novel/story called "Mareesha's Mare," and started another called "Bane." Was very
happy with that but then my must kind of wandered off. That was annoying! *grin* Naughty muse!

I did a rough hoof-making tutorial based around what we call Ed's "all terrain hoofies.

And then there were those alien flowers. But we don't talk much about those. I think they're classified.

All in all it was a very checkered year. Filled with positive and negatives but isn't every life? And the
negatives in my life, no matter how heavy, will always be outweighed by the positives when those positives are
the love that my Ed and Tanamin have for me. Nothing can be better than that. :)

I hope everyone's year is filled with wonderful things! Absolutely HUGE soft, velvety Stripey hugs to all!
