Hey. It's been an...interesting two weeks. I've been having to take long deep breaths.
A lot.
I received an outraged email about Cyeatea. This person was claiming I was condoning pedophelia.
Um. Excuse me?
Have I said anything about children and sex? Anywhere?
To clear things up, as I had to do with this person though they chose not to listen, no matter how polite and
patient I was, this person kept ragging on me. Over and over. Repeating the same things.
It was very surreal.
In any case, let me make a few things clear.
The Cyeateans remain physically sexless until they actually hit sexual maturity. Say around our
equivalent of seventeen/eighteen years of age. And until then, the "hormones" that go along with those physical characteristics are not in evidence either. No sexual desires. Etc.
I repeat. The little guys have no physical sexual characteristics or drive. They all look very much the
same in that way. Nothing. The physical attributes sort of "pop" when they hit the correct age.
They are totally playful creatures. Like any children. Tickling. Hugging. Loving. All of the honeybees
are. They are cherished little things and the adults take enormous care of them. Their compassion, care and parenting is amazing. At least from what I've seen so far.
I know this because I asked. I asked Leonurus why the smaller bees that were giving Fleur and I tons of
hugs and giggles had no sexual characteristics. She explained.
And, first and foremost - this is NOT earth.
*sigh* I really wanted to hit my head against a wall.
