Ah, blessed light! *grin* I actually ate breakfast today! Eggs. Two days ago just the thought of eggs had me
crawling to the bathroom. Saltines and water were all I could manage to keep down. I think I lost about five pounds. *heh*
Fleur has offered to take me on a road trip for a few days. Says she has massive vacation time she can take and
after the other night, feels that we need to really relax and see if we can do it again. I'm all for it.
Before we go I'll be visiting Johnathon so I can tell him what's happening. First, about my migraine, then, the trip.
Fleur says we need at least three days. She may be right. Especially as she's suggesting we take a trip to Yosemite, which is absolutely beautiful this time of year. Just after the high heat and just before the cold sets in. I think it's a good idea. I haven't been to Yosemite since I was eleven years old and my parents took me. That was an awesome trip, except for the mosquitos.
This time I'll bring repellent. And lots of vitamin B12. Lots. *grin*
(Afternoon)
I've been with Johnathon. I told him about the trip and my dreamwalking. I wish I knew if he could hear me or
not. I have to keep believing he can.
I stayed long enough to watch the physical therapist give Johnathon a work out. The therapist was pretty forceful,
making Johnathon's muscles work. Johnathon's so thin now, compared to what he was but at least they're preventing his muscles from becoming atrophied. It was a nice young man. Very pretty to look at. *grin* Blue eyes. Tanned face. Made me feel old. *chuckle*
Before I left I talked to the nurses who will be watching him for the next few days. I told them that I would not be
home for at least three days and I made sure they had the number for my new cell phone. (Yeah, me a cell phone, thanks to Fleur.) I told them where I'd be and they all sent me off with good wishes. I know several of them quite well by now. They know I'll be calling once each day in the evening and they never talk to me condescendingly when I do. They're good people and they take good care of my love. (But I felt like they were almost pushing me out the door, so to speak. Is there something they're not telling me?)
Wake up soon, Johnathon. Please.
(Evening)
We've decided to leave tomorrow morning. Monday to Friday, at least, Fleur told me. Monday and Friday for
driving, three days in between. So I'm packing a minimum of stuff. I've still got a shadow headache but nothing like it was. Hopefully the mountain air will do me some good. So, I won't be writing for a few days. |
