Been a weak week. *hee hee* Never knew how much energy is used in just digesting food! Urk. Saltines and
broth have been my friend. Helluva weight loss method!
I started out just taking a slow walk around the block and was shakey afterward. I have ever so much more
sympathy for other folks who have been as ill, now. Not that I had no sympathy before but one really can't truly understand until one has been there. Never again, I hope.
I'm keeping away from crowds right now as the flu that's out there is apparently a nasty one. They gave me a flu
shot before I left the hospital, though. Takes a good 14 days before it's up to full strength in my body, so I'm not taking any chances.
Besides, I'm not really into the holiday shopping thing, right now and there's always the internet.
Fleur's about the only person I'm really interested in shopping for. Cards for a lot of folks, but shopping for her.
Oh, and my sister's kids. Love them. *grin* I'm the aunt, living in sin--not being married and all--in the low cut red dress that buys them cool things every year. *chuckle* I'd already gotten them things. Two of the girls beautiful detailed embroidered blouses. One art supplies, the other writing supplies. The youngest a bunch of things. A stuffed unicorn, a babydoll carrier, a coloring book. The youngest boy, not quite the youngest child *smile* a BUNCH of the cards for the card game he plays with friends. Yu-Gi-Oh. I'm not sure I spelled that correctly. For my sister I got a beautiful skirt and blouse set. Very relaxed. All cotton. Almost a full circle skirt which we both love and for her hubby I got all the Calvin and Hobb's books. I know he'll enjoy those.
But that's about it and I think I did that shopping just to get my mind off of Johnathon for a little while. This will be
our first Christmas in thirteen years apart. I think the shopping was a distraction. The best distraction so far has been dreamwalking. But that's when I'm sleeping.
Nothing lately, though, as I said. Both Fleur and I are a little frustrated but then again, we're also both just happy
I'm feeling better. She's working every day on a few LAN's in the area but the company is still warning her that she's likely going to be going out of the country again mid December. In a few weeks.
Ah well.
I'm still torn what to get her. She's got everything she wants. I'm thinking of perhaps a piece of art. Maybe
something Cyeatean! *grin* |
