Johnathon is home now. We had a nurse here with us for three days, teaching both Fleur and I what he would
need help with. It's all happening so fast. Two weeks and he's home. Has it only been two weeks?
It's been ten months.
They did dozens of tests on him. Several (surgical?) procedures to make sure that everything is where it should
be and functioning. Tubes/cameras down his throat in one direction and up his bum in another. Every scan I can think of. MRI's. CAT's. Etc.
And everything is fine.
Sometimes I feel like I'm dreaming. I must be. It has been so long…
I'm not sure exactly what occurred but I do remember signing a piece of paper to allow something called...hold
on…EEG Neurofeedback. I'm not sure what happened and I knew that the treatments were to begin soon, but that it was difficult to get in the program and that insurance was still sketchy on paying for it. This time my insurance agent and I discussed it and we decided that after ten months, if he were to awaken, it would be a very good thing for everyone. I knew what he meant.
The drunk driver's insurance is awesome.
Lucky us.
